"E-Week" at ARCH
ARCH celebrated its Entrepreneurship Week from 5.02.2011 to 12.02.2011 in collaboration with National Entrepreneurship Network. During this week, we have conducted many events promoting entrepreneurship like Bazaar on Campus, where students have practically implemented business models like Handicraft Store, Eatables, Tattoo Making &Nail Art et al, 4 on 100 Exercise, T-Shirt Logo Making Competition, Skill Development Workshop for Underprivileged Women by Fashion Design Students, Quiz Competition et al. This Week was formally inaugurated by Bahadur Singh Rajawat, Managing Director of Forts & Tours Palaces Ltd. He explained his life struggles from rags to riches.

Formation of KUMKUM- the SHG
A self help group (SHG) KUMKUM was formulated at ARCH. KUMKUM is an initiative of ARCH, that aspires to motivate women towards economic empowerment to enhance confidence levels and create solidarity amongst them, by creating products that are a mark of their hand made skills & entrepreneurial spirits- transforming them from being alive to living with dignity. The stakeholders in this SHG is a group of 17 women of slum area in Jaipur, who would work under the guidance of ARCH work under the guidance of ARCH faculty and would develop a range of products by using various techniques like stitching, weaving, surface embellishment etc.

 
Vital Arch Women Leadership Program
To develop business and entrepreneurial spirit among young women and motivate them for setting up of micro, small or medium scale industrial, commercial or service ventures Vital Voices Global Partnership has sanctioned ARCH Academy of Design a Vital Arch Women Leadership Programme. The grant has been sanctioned under the Vital Voices Exxon Mobil Challenge Grant. Vital Arch Women Leadership Programme is a two-week training program. In the first batch a group of 17 underprivileged were trained, ages 16-35, to promote entrepreneurial development among them. The program was inaugurated by Ms. Zoe Dean-Smith, Senior Director of Global Women Artisan Export Development Program of Vital Voices Global Partnership Program and Ms. Mary Schnack, President, Mary Schnack & Associates on 1st October 2010.

 
Lagan Mandap Exhibition
Lagan Mandap 2010 is one of the most important exhibitions for wedding industry in Rajasthan. The three-day event showcased things related with a wedding occasion. There were 70 designers from all across the country. The academy put up its stall and displayed the work of the students. The aim behind participating in all such events is to promote the students work in the commercial market. The exhibition was inaugurated by Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2010, Manasvi Mamgai.

FICCI FLO Bazar, New Delhi
Arch Academy of Design, Jaipur recently made its presence at the prestigious FLO Bazaar organized by on 10.2.2010 FICCI at the FICCI House, New Delhi. The academy displayed an exclusive range of Garments, Jewellery & Accessories designed and developed by its students. The work of the students was appreciated by the women entrepreneurs at the event.
 
Workshop JUGAAD- From waste

Arch celebrated its Foundation Day on 3rd April 2010. Students participated in three days workshop called “JUGAAD”. The workshop aimed at Developing Social Sensitivity through Creativity was initiated by ARCH Director, Mrs. Archana Surana. On last day the products prepared by the students were showcased.
 
Installation Ceremony of Rotaract Club Arch
The Rotaract Club runs several Youth programs which allow participants to discover more about the world by participating in community projects, leadership training, or cultural exchanges. On 15.09.2009 Rotaract club Arch under the sponsorship of Rotary Club Jaipur South was installed by Princess Diya Kumari of Jaipur with Mr. Ashish Desai as Installation Officer. Saumya Nahar was sworn in as President and Ms. Rupal Gupta as Secretary with the other office bearers.
 
Enlightening Entrepreneurship
Academy organized a workshop 12.12.2009 to elaborate on the economic growth of India and the need for micro, small and medium enterprises. The industrial motivational camp was organized in association with MSME, and NSIC, Govt. of India. The guest of honor on were Swedish women entrepreneurs Ms. Inger Wickbom, CEO, Entrepreneur Centre, Ms. Lisbeth Wigstrom, Adviser & Lecturer, New Entrepreneur centre who also shared their experiences.
