Personally, he feels that history is a good topic to work on. He likes studying cultures of the past. The Viking Age (793 &#8211; 1066 AD) is a period in European history, especially Northern European and Scandinavian history, following the Germanic Iron Age. It is the period of history when Scandinavian Norsemen explored Europe by its seas and rivers for trade, raids, colonization, and conquest. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Chirag did brainstorming and brought up his collection.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">In the \u2018Orange Jacket\u2019 shown in the photo motif used for surface, development has been made using laser-cutting processes. Viking has used an expression \u2018fire-eye\u2019 which has been used to create mold. Long sheet with Batman sleeve (resembling wings). The inner garment has been made from \u2018Cotton khadi<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u2019; the same motif has been used with a different placement. Colors have been made suiting the winter season.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1613 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.archedu.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Garment-1-1-min-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"326\" height=\"489\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.archedu.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Garment-1-1-min-683x1024.jpg 683w, https:\/\/www.archedu.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Garment-1-1-min-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/www.archedu.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Garment-1-1-min-768x1152.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 326px) 100vw, 326px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Long jacket with the wing sleeves, trouser <\/strong>and<strong> top winter wear.\u00a0Surface developed with fabric patch motif from Viking Era named &#8220;fire eye&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Another garment which is blue in color is a single-piece garment with its front open. Camel leather (artificial leather) has been used to create patches. Symbol used in the patch is called fertility, it has been inspired from the Viking symbol.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1614 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.archedu.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/Garment-2-min-683x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"333\" height=\"504\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><strong>\u00a0Long one-piece garment with the two combinations of color blue and brown, surface development is done with the leather patchwork. Patch motif is inspired from\u00a0Viking Era which named &#8220;fertility&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <strong>\u00a0Name of<\/strong> <strong>the model<\/strong> <strong>is Sonam Gupta who is a student at ARCH.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This was his major project. He worked on \u2018Motif development from the Viking Era\u2019 for his thesis as well. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">People don\u2019t know what is Viking Era, so Chirag has to explain it to them. Whenever people look at this garment, they feel something unique has been done to create it. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Chirag wishes to work for the mass production of garments in future since his course includes quality control and testing etc. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chirag Mistry from Ahmedabad is a final year student of Post Graduate course in Garment Production and Export Management at\u00a0ARCH College of Design and Business.
