Our design students had a highly productive first day at the Forhex Fair! The innovative designs reached their final stages as the stall neared completion. Many guests came to view the designs and their expressions clearly showed their awe and wonder. The students' hard work and passion towards design finally took form! Ms. Archana Surana (Founder & Director) also visited the stall and was a source of constant inspiration and encouragement for our students to excel. On Day 2 we had the privilege to host the well-known Ms. Bina Kaak at the stall. The photography credits go to our own Rishabh Jain from Graphic Design (4 Years). An Arch Connect session on “Internet Safety” was held on 21st Augut, 2017. Cyber Crime expert, Ms. Priyanka Sankhala was the guest speaker at the event. Ms. Sankhala owns an IT firm called ‘WaySol’ and is currently working with the Jodhpur Police and will soon be a part of Delhi Police. In 2015, she started the ‘Society Hind Hope’ with the vision to provide cyber and IT related information and legal aid.
The students were enlightened on various topics such as securing their Facebook profiles, ATM cloning, cyber bullying and online payment recovery. The session was quite informative and proved to be helpful for the tech-savvy students.
Celebrating 70 glorious years of Independence, the students and faculty at Arch came out in vibrant Indian colors, instilled with the spirit of togetherness, and the design of a bright India in mind. The future of our country rests on the responsible shoulders of these young students, who will write the next era of India’s history. Founder and Director Ms. Archana Surana joined the celebrations with enthusiasm, upholding the zest of our bright young minds and their vision for a stronger India in the years to come.
Our Founder and Director Ms. Archana Surana was invited by ICRTC as a main speaker at the ‘Symposium for Senior School Students’ which was conducted at Siliguri. She addressed the esteemed principals, key staff members and nearly 200 students from 40 schools about how design thinking is creating new and evolutionary changes in the society.
Ms. Archana Surana who has previously received the prestigious YUVA Icon Award by the late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam (Erstwhile President of India) is on a mission to educate and spread awareness about the great importance of design thinking. For this purpose she is travelling across the country, speaking about how design is present not just in education, but in every aspect of life, and how it is changing the world around us everyday.
