Open Days 2017


"Open Days" is a unique concept when the ARCH Campus is open for all visitors, Design Enthusiasts across any age and qualification. This is a weeklong activity started today. Graduation collection of students has been showcased.

This are a great opportunity to participate in workshops & experience, find out about student life in Design. During open days live demonstrations of technology and crafts will be ongoing at ARCH campus. An exhibition of work has been put forward where we can see the garments developed by final year students based on craft techniques, jewelry made in fine diamond to kundan meena and for various international markets has been showcased. On other hand students of interior design has displayed the furniture pieces new range to different kind of interior products like lamp shades, furnishings etc.

Today in a fun filled evening Fashion Show along with the Farewell party was organized. In Fashion show collection of students who have done short vocational courses at ARCH were showcased. Student themselves walked the ramp in garments and stylization done by them. They also performed couple Indo Western Fusion dances.

One day workshop on "How Accurate Standard time Leads to Profitability"


A One day workshop on “How Accurate Standard Time Leads to profitability” conducted successfully at ARCH Academy of Design. The expert speaker Ms. Sunaina Khanna, Director, Method Apparel Consultancy from Gurugaon, conducted the session for garment manufacturers & exporters. Around 16 Merchandisers, Quality controller, Production Supervisor & Fashion Designer attended the workshop.  During the session Ms. Sunaina explained areas which can lead to increase in profitability during manufacturing. She also explains different work method and its improved version, so that the productivity & quality should increase as per the international market. During the session different videos and case study were discussed. The SWOT Analysis of Jaipur/Rajasthan Garment Sector was also analyzed.

International Cultural Governance workshop in Delhi


ARCH Academy of Design, Jaipur, with support of the Government of  Rajasthan,the European Network on Cultural Management and Policy (ENCATC), Creative Europe, the

Creative Enterprise Programmes of the European Union, the University of Antwerp and the University of the Arts, London was the organising host institution in India for the Cultural Governance project 2017.The event brought together the key people involved in the challenges of managing arts and cultural organisations in India.

The Cultural Governance project is being coordinated and conducted across the world by Professor Annick Schramme from the University of Antwerp, who is the Chair of the Cultural Governance workshop/ seminar series and advisor to many cultural institutions across Europe, and Professor Ian King, Professor of Aesthetics and Management, from the University of the Arts, London.

Sharing about the workshop, Prof. Ian King said, an international Cultural Governance project is underway, where information from eight countries (Ethiopia, Taiwan, China, India, Australia, South Africa, Brazil and Serbia). The results of the study from these eight locations will be collected together and re-produced in a book that will be published by Peter Lang in late 2018.

The Cultural Governance programme was attended by dignitaries from the art and creative industries Including :

Jaya Jaitely is an Indian politician and a former Samata Party president. She is an activist, author and Indian handicrafts curator; Jayant Kastaur - Former Secretary and CEO of India’s National Academy of Performing Arts – the Sangeet Natak Akademi, art administrator, speaker and thinker.

Prof. I.M. Chishti - Architect & Design Thinker; Prof. Ashish Ganju - A thought leader in Indian architectural philosophy, visiting professor at various international universities, UNICEF consultant and faculty at the School of Planning and Architecture and IIT, New Delhi.  Parthiv Shah - Director, CMAC, an alumnus of the National Institute of Design, India, graphic designer and a photographer.

Bindu Manchanda - Director Projects – INTAC; Ms Bindu is the Director,Projects at The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) which was founded in 1984; Meenakshi Jha - Artologue foundation; Vikram Joshi - Founder and owner, Rangotri Trained as a textile technologist; Sushma K. Bahl, MBE, is the author of ‘5000 Years of Indian Art’ and former head of Arts & Culture for the British Council India;  Pooja Sood - Director General, Jawahar Kala Kendra.



After completing 16 years in Jaipur, The ARCH Academy of Design (ARCH) launched its new campus in Gurgaon on 7 April. The new campus was inaugurated by Professor Ian King, Professor of Aesthetics and Management, from the University of the Arts, London and Professor Annick Schramme from the University of Antwerp (Belgium).

Witnessing rapid urbanization, Gurgaon (part of the Delhi NCR region) has become a leading financial and industrial hub with the third highest per capita income in India.

After creating benchmarks in Design Education in India and abroad as the preeminent fashion school in this country for more than  16 years in the Heritage city of Jaipur, the ARCH ACADEMY OF DESIGN has set  up its Second campus in in the Tech-City of Gurgaon with aim to be platform for students of pluralistic identities to pursue challenging career options in the field of design.

 “ARCH Academy of design’s world class modern campus spread in 40,000 Sq ft sprawling  centrally located space will offer various well designed courses designed keeping in mind the domestic and international industry requirements in mind.

The ARCH Gurgaon Campus is being set up under the leadership of Ms. Nien Siao with 27 years of experience in design education and practice. An NID graduate, her experience as a design educator, practitioner, Design Thinking trainer and Design Researcher have been in the domain of Fashion & Textiles, product development, sustainable design and lifestyle industry.
