Masterclass by ace Fashion Designer Pratima Pandey
A masterclass at ARCH was held on 14th August 2018 by ace Fashion Designer Pratima Pandey.
Her masterclass was interactive and informative and was a good learning experience for the students. Masterclass focused on her belief that clothing should be classic, ageless, and should speak of the craftsmanship of each person involved.
Pratima is a NIFT (New Delhi) postgraduate in Fashion design and specializes in fusion garb with Indian Sensibility. She has been the recipient of the Grazia Young Fashion Awards in the category of eco-friendly fashion in 2011.She is also an advisory board member of ARCH College of Design and Business.
She told students that emphasis of her label ‘PRAMA by Pratima Pandey’ is on the use of natural fabric and dyeing techniques and also designing for a cause by encouraging craftsmanship and sustainability. She works primarily with Khadi & Chanderi. She is also associated with an NGO Juggad which create new products using waste fabric from her brand.
