Archana Surana, Founder and Director of ARCH College of
Design & Business, has been re-elected as Board Member of the Cumulus
Association Executive Board for the 2025–2028 term. She previously served as the Vice President from 2022 to 2025.
The elections were held during the Cumulus Nantes 2025
conference, hosted by L’École de Design Nantes Atlantique in France from June 3
to 7. The event also marked the re-election of
Professor Lorenzo Imbesi, Full Professor at Sapienza University of Rome, as
President for a second term.
Cumulus is the leading global association for art,
design, and media education and research, connecting 395 member institutions
across 71 countries. Founded in 1990 by Aalto
University and the Royal College of Art, the association promotes international
collaboration and knowledge exchange in design education.in

India’s growing influence in global design education. She has been an active advocate for women in design and has
represented Indian perspectives on international platforms, contributing to the
association's mission of shaping sustainable and inclusive futures through
design.
