ARCH College of Design and Business recently organized a session on Design Thinking as part of its Impact Lecture Series, exclusively for its students. The session featured renowned designer Krishan Jagota as the guest speaker. This series is part of the Institutional Innovation Cell initiative, launched by the Ministry of Education to promote a culture of innovation across higher education institutions in the country.
Krishan Jagota, a designer, creative community builder, and innovation evangelist, shared his insights and experiences on Design Thinking with the students and emphasized the importance of communication and relationship-building in the field of innovation. During the session, Jagota highlighted the need to find common ground with others, whether it’s your audience or someone you admire. He advised students to seek out shared interests or experiences to build stronger relationships. He also emphasized the importance of making others feel connected, especially in a world where uncertainty is a constant challenge.
Jagota’s session provided students with essential insights into the complexities of communication within the design field, encouraging them to embrace both uncertainty and certainty to enhance their creativity.
