Representing ARCH, Ms. Archana Surana, Founder & Director, spoke at CII’s session on “Reimagining Industry–Academia Collaboration for a Global R&D and IP Economy.” She represented the voice of design education, emphasising the shift design institutions must make—from skill execution to inquiry, from service delivery to co-creation, and from employability metrics to innovation-led impact.
Sharing the platform with leaders from ANRF, ProInn, Tata Motors, IIT Roorkee, and C&S Electric, Ms. Surana highlighted the role of design-led thinking, interdisciplinary learning, and industry-connected education in building future-ready innovation ecosystems. Her perspective aligned strongly with the vision of NEP 2020, underlining how research, policy, industry collaboration, and student entrepreneurship are deeply interconnected.
The session reinforced a shared belief that innovation cannot thrive in silos and must be co-created through sustained collaboration between classrooms, companies, and communities—reaffirming ARCH’s commitment to bridging education with industry and purpose-driven progress.
