ARCH College of Design & Business has been honoured with the prestigious ‘Best Styling Award’ at त्यौहार 2.0, an Exclusive Handloom Expo organized by the O/o Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. The event was presented by the Weavers’ Service Centre, Jaipur at Birla Auditorium.
ARCH Fashion Design students showcased curated collections celebrating Indian handlooms through contemporary styling. ATIBANA highlighted extra weft denim with intricate woven surface ornamentation. A jacquard twill handloom collection in blues featured subtle Kantha embroidery in minimalist modern silhouettes for casual wear. Striped blue textiles were transformed into contemporary ensembles, complemented by accessories developed by students on campus. A Khadi collection inspired by Ardhanarishvara for Shivratri blended structured and fluid forms with Kantha detailing, reflecting cultural symbolism.
The award recognises ARCH’s excellence in presenting traditional textiles with refined styling and modern relevance. Participation at a national platform like त्यौहार 2.0 represents the institution’s commitment to promoting India’s handloom heritage while nurturing innovative and responsible young designers.
