Design becomes meaningful when it understands people.
On 9th September, at the National School Health Conference in collaboration with SHARP NGO, our Director, Ms. Archana Surana, shared an inspiring perspective on inclusive design, well-being, and the responsibility designers carry towards society.
She spoke about an ongoing adaptive clothing project at ARCH, where our fashion design students visited Disha, a school for children with special needs, to understand their individual preferences, comfort, and choices. From colors and prints to personal needs, the students learned that truly meaningful design begins with listening, observing, and understanding people.
The conversation was a beautiful reminder that inclusivity is not just about accommodating differences—it is about respecting every individual's needs, choices, and identity.
At ARCH, we believe design goes beyond aesthetics. It has the power to create more thoughtful spaces, meaningful experiences, and a more inclusive world.
Because the best design doesn't just look good. It makes people feel understood.
