What does it really take to scale a business?
It’s not just about bigger numbers.
It’s about growing the organisation, the people, the culture—and the founder behind it.
At the TiE Rajasthan Smashup, ARCH College of Design & Business was part of a candid conversation on the realities of “Scaling Up Physical Business.”
Moderated by Archana Surana, Founder & Director, ARCH, the conversation brought together two founders building strong consumer brands:
Ankesh Jain, Co-founder, Nothing Before Coffee
Rahul Verma, Co-founder, FRUBON
The conversation went beyond the usual startup playbook and explored the questions founders often face while scaling:
→ Which metrics really matter?
→ When should a founder let go?
→ How do you build systems without losing the entrepreneurial spirit?
→ Can the habits that work at ₹1 crore work at ₹10 crore?
→ How do you stay close to customers as you grow?
→ And how do you balance money, people, growth and purpose?
For ARCH students, conversations like these are learning beyond the classroom - a chance to hear directly from founders, question assumptions and understand the realities behind building a business.
With Jitendra Kumar Agarwal, President, TiE Rajasthan, the TiE Rajasthan leadership and Secretariat, Nishant Patni, and the wider entrepreneurial ecosystem coming together, the Smashup created a space for ideas, conversations and meaningful connections.
At ARCH, we believe entrepreneurship is not simply about building bigger businesses.
It is about building resilient organisations, impact-focused ventures and meaningful futures.
