Craft Documentation & Workshops
As part of the Jaipur 300 Craft Documentation and Workshops Initiative, undertaken by ARCH College of Design & Business in association with City Palace, 20 students from The Palace School visited the ARCH campus on 9 October for a hands-on Gota Patti workshop.
Students explored this traditional craft, created their own designs, and visited ARCH’s campus and design labs, experiencing the connection between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design.
Funded by ARCH, the initiative aims to preserve Jaipur’s craft heritage, build appreciation for traditional skills, and introduce young minds to the creative and entrepreneurial opportunities within the craft sector.
Taking this initiative forward, ARCH will conduct workshops with major schools across Jaipur and support the documentation of the city’s traditional crafts, helping preserve this valuable knowledge for future generations.
