Our city’s pride Archana Surana, Founder & Director, ARCH College of Design & Business has been elected for the 8th Cumulus Executive Board (2022-2025) to represent India on 357 Member Institutions- Cumulus Executive Board
Cumulus is the leading global association of Art, Design Education & Research. It represents a dynamic ecosystem with 357 member institutions in 66 countries.
She would be representing India on an Executive Board having members from 11 countries to bring in a dynamic forum for knowledge exchange and best practices and a committed advocacy for the positive role of designers and artists. Her representation will bring for the Design Education in country. She said, “I was nominated for the Board by the Presidential Candidate Lorenzo Imbesi, from Sapienza University of Rome, Italy. I am an ardent advocate of the essential and positive role that designers and the Creative Industries can play towards helping shape a sensitive, empathetic and better world. I would be initiating cooperation and collaboration from industry bodies from India towards this purpose and strengthen the ‘Women in Design’ initiative of Cumulus, alongside building a mentorship model within the CUMULUS network.”
