Beyond Classroom, Immersive On Site Learning Project
For Interior Design students (Semester II & VI), it meant stepping beyond the classroom into immersive, on-site learning. Over three days, students worked across iconic heritage sites—Madhavendra Palace, Jaigarh Fort, and Sawai Man Singh Town Hall—conducting detailed measurements, drafting, and documentation for their Adaptive Reuse Capstone Project under the guidance of Ar. Radhaye Chopde.
Day 1 focused on precise plan drafting at Madhavendra Palace, while Days 2 and 3 involved large-scale documentation at Jaigarh Fort and Town Hall—testing both accuracy and coordination.
Back in the studio, students spent over two weeks refining detailed drawings on AO sheets, alongside preparing for exhibition.
The journey also included material exploration, architectural documentation studies, model-making, and use of contemporary digital tools.
The final exhibition brought together research, documentation, and adaptive reuse proposals—reflecting a rigorous blend of heritage understanding, technical skill, and experiential learning.
